About The Baking Box
The Baking Box are a small baking company based in Llanelli, Wales, started by master baker and cake creator Gemma in 2020. What began as a hobby quickly became a passion, and they officially launched their business in 2020.
The Baking Box’s speciality is creating delicious, bespoke cakes and bakes for birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions. They believe every cake should be as unique as the person it’s being made for, and they work closely with their clients to ensure that each creation is tailored to their specific tastes and preferences.
About the Project
Gemma, a local baker, approached us to help her create a complete online store after managing orders through Instagram. We wanted to create a beautiful and easy-to-use website to help her manage all her requests for delivered orders and bespoke cakes smoothly. We worked hard to ensure the website looked stunning and showcased Gemma’s incredible baking skills. We have also made sure that it is user-friendly and easy to navigate so that her customers can easily place orders and enjoy the best of her baking treats. The Development
Gemma came to us with a clear vision for her online bakery business but needed guidance on the best platform. After carefully considering her requirements, we recommended Shopify for its user-friendly backend system and after researching her other requirements. To ensure the website accurately represented Gemma’s brand and style, she provided us with some design inspirations, which we used as a reference. The result is a visually stunning website that offers customers easy navigation, a convenient calendar to choose their Collection or delivery date and time, and bespoke pages for her famous cakes. We integrated an advanced contact form to streamline customer inquiries and ensure a seamless user experience.
Throughout the development process, we had regular communication with Gemma, the owner of The Baking Box, to ensure that we were incorporating her feedback into the design of the website. We conducted frequent testing and sent the website to professional feedback programmes to guarantee that real users were satisfied with the user experience.
